totally! that's what art is supposed to be about- shame the people that own sites like this don't ever recognize the fact, and try to monetize everything, build a system of meritocracy, and the truly original thinkers are left out.

I think that is changing though. With the near global access to the internet we have today, original thinkers have a better chance of being able to do their thing. Whether or not they get the attention they deserve is another matter though....
